One of the first things that you will need to change about your life to find a girlfriend is being more social. If we take a honest look at our past, you will probably find that you have never been a social butterfly like others. You do not need to become a social butterfly who always spends every moment with other people, but you will need to start going out to more places. A girl is not going to just walk right up to your house, ring the doorbell and start talking with you. It would be great if it worked like that but it doesn't. So we need to take the initiative to go out to public places more often. Even if you have no one to go with, still go by yourself.
Here are some ideas of where you could go by yourself.
- Go to a bookstore. Not only will you have some peace and quiet to read, but it is also a great place to strike up a conversation with a girl. Comment on the book she is reading if you have read it or ask her what it is about if you haven't read it.
- Go to the beach. It may seem like a odd place to go by yourself, but it is a great place to get to know others. I would not recommend going up to a large group of people an interacting with them, but instead try to start up a conversation with a group of two or three people. It will be a lot easier meet people in smaller groups. If you see someone by themselves, go up and start talking to them.
- Go do an extreme sport. I love to go snowboarding and sometimes I will go by myself. I turn on my iPod and have fun without anyone else slowing me down. When you are on the ski lift with another person or a group of people, take out your ear buds and strike up a conversation. You have nothing better to do with the 10 minute ride up the mountain, you might as well make the 10 minutes constructive and talk.
Actually try to engage in these activities rather than just reading this and doing nothing about it. If you want, take some time to think of some other things that you can do to be more social. Remember, if you are not out in the world being social, how will you ever meet girls?
